Costume Character Performer Training

Contrary to popular belief, you can't put just anyone into a character costume and instantly have a good character.  You need a well-trained performer in that costume if you want the character to make a positive impression on your target audience.

I can provide both beginner and intermediate lessons in character performance.  Basic lessons cover pantomime expression, interactions with guests, improvization, health and safety, and dealing with difficult situations.  Intermediate lessons dealve into defining and developing a character's personality along with advanced improvization.

Lessons can be done on a one-on-one basis or as a small group class.  For in-costume training, the performer or hiring organizaiton must provide a sutiable mascot costume.
